Pastor Harris has served the AZ Ministry Network as superintendent since April, 1999. He graduated with his Bachelor of Arts in Bible in spring of 1974 from Central Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. He received his license to preach while still in college from the Oklahoma District Council, his home state. Pastor and Marjorie began their ministry in Delta, Colorado, serving as youth pastors for First Assembly of God, under the leadership of Marjorie’s father, Pastor Don Farmer. In 1976, Steve was ordained with the Rocky Mountain District Council. Pastor Harris and Marjorie were delighted to accept the position of lead pastor in 1976 for the congregation in Brush, Colorado, Calvary Assembly of God. After nearly ten years of ministry in Brush, they were voted to lead the congregation at First Assembly of God in Prescott, Arizona, and served that congregation until April of 1999 when he was voted to become the District Superintendent for the Arizona Ministry Network. Prior to his election as superintendent, Pastor Steve had been appointed to the board in 1987 as the North Area Executive Presbyter, and later served as Assistant Superintendent from 1995 to 1999 when he accepted the position of Superintendent. He served as Chairman of the Board of Regents for American Indian College, 2006-2017, Serves as Chairman of the AIC Corporation; Board Member of Teen Challenge of Arizona, Inc., Chairman of the Board of Western Bible College, Board Member of Southwestern Assemblies of God University and Chairman of the Board of Directors for Church Extension Plan. Superintendent Stephen Harris was the recipient of an Honorary Doctorate of Letters, conferred by Western Bible College in 2012. pastor harris and marjorie are blessed with 2 sons & daughter-in-laws, 5 grandsons, and 1 granddaughter.
