GIVING FAQs
What is the minister’s tithe?
Tithing is a biblical principle that remains vital for every minister. As outlined in the Arizona Ministry Network bylaws, ministers are expected to tithe as a spiritual discipline and act of stewardship. This tithe is shared between the local church and the Network office, recognizing the collaborative ministry of every Assemblies of God church in Arizona.
Our bylaws distinguish between secular income (from non-ministry sources) and ministry income (from salaries, honorariums, or church-related compensation), assigning tithe percentages accordingly:
Secular Income:
75% of the tithe goes to your local church
25% of the tithe goes to the Network Minister's Tithe Fund
Example: If a minister earns $1,000 from a secular job, the tithe would be $100. Of that, $75 would go to the local church, and $25 would go to the Network.
Ministry Income:
75% of the tithe goes to the Network Minister's Tithe Fund
25% of the tithe goes to the local church
Example: If a minister receives $1,000 in church salary, the tithe would be $100. Of that, $75 would go to the Network, and $25 would go to the local church.
Being current on your minister’s tithe is a requirement for renewing your credentials each year. To help you stay consistent and avoid delays, we highly recommend setting up automated giving through our online giving platform.
what are national ministers dues?
All Assemblies of God ministers are credentialed through the General Council of the Assemblies of God, our national office. This office provides essential resources, training, support, and accountability for ministers across the country. To help fund these efforts, National Ministers Dues are collected annually.
The monthly dues for each credential level are:
Certified Minister: $10/month ($120/year)
Licensed Minister: $20/month ($240/year)
Ordained Minister: $25/month ($300/year)
These dues are paid directly to the national office and must be paid in full in order to renew your credentials at the end of the year. You can pay them directly on the national AG giving page.
While these dues are considered part of your overall tithe, many ministers choose to give their dues in addition to their minister's tithe to the Network. Rather than viewing them as a burden, we encourage you to see them as an investment in a healthy, resourced, and connected fellowship.
